These are examples of some of the wonderful writing that the students of grade 7 and grade 8 are completing.
Powerpoint presentations on drug effects
Students read articles on the effects that drugs have on the brain and body function. After completing a web quest and answering questons on many types of drug effects, they researched their own topics and prepared powerpoint presentations to share with their classmates. They also prepared quiz questions that the other students needed to answer. Each of the students rated all of the presentations as they were presented to the class.
7th grade blogs- introduction
Grade 7 students have written several blog entries on our classroom blog page. We have written about the book, "The Outsiders". They have also written an introduction about themselves and what they enjoy about the read 180 Program.
Grade 8 Blogs on Abc News article
Students read the ABC news article "Laboring in the Mines" which detailed the life of 3 young boys who are forced to work in the copper mines in the Congo. The students wrote a summary of that article and published it on our classroom blog page.
