Studying the Holocaust
The Holocaust
We will be reading and studying several articles, stories and novels that deal with "The holocaust". The Holocaust is the systematic murder of over 6 million people that occurred during the time period of World War II. We will be reading "The Devil's Arithmetic", "The Diary of Anne Frank" as well as viewing documentaries and videos related to this time period. One of your first projects will be to complete a webquest to learn about this time period and how this terrible event occurred.
The life Of Anne Frank
We will be learning about Anne Frank and reading parts of her diary. You can connect to her interactive web page (in the web files) and look at pictures of her family and read some of the text from her diary. We will be watching the Discovery Video on her life and death. Over 1 million children under the age of 16 died in the Nazi Death camps.
